World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.
For instance an item with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the item level rises.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once and can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the equipment with which it is used (for instancethe "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.
A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.
Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of an item will be dropped during the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their equipment even when they're not sure how much it can be improved upon the reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be expensive, and it is possible that the item will become obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also offer a bonus if they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade components that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.
In the endgame you'll often discover that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes more quickly.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that boosts a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
Using the Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance an Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but you should also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When an individual player upgrade a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced with the new item. This means that the same armor piece will become the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage, as it can make the item more expensive if you do not need it.
Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful however it should not be used frequently as it can waste resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times to increase their value, allowing the player to customize their equipment. item upgrades Casesgg is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player continuously enters or exits water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP as an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements
The upgrade of items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapon equipment will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert to its original state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned, such as chances to be crit damage to attack, other effects (such as increased heal over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied before any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
